Accessibility in Plain English
Tampere Hall is place for many types of events, and we have given a lot of thought to special needs. We want people with mobility, hearing or vision difficulties to be able to participate in our events. Tampere Hall’s staff is happy to help all customers.
Main Auditorium, Small Auditorium and Studio are auditoriums.
This means that the seating is tiered. There are stairs in the auditoriums, which is why the Main Auditorium, the Small Auditorium and the Studio have dedicated seats for people in wheelchairs and their assistants or companions. The other rooms in the Tampere Hall have flat floors where it is easier to move about with a wheelchair.
Early entry before the performance begins is possible, if you would like more time to get to your seat.
Tampere Hall’s doors have ramps for easy access. The ramps make it easier to cross the threshold, for example in a wheelchair. The front doors also open automatically. Stair handrails have tactile indicators so you can feel when the handrail is coming to an end.
There is an elevator in the main lobby of Tampere Hall that goes to all levels and floors, and to Café Soolo.
Disabled parking spaces are available. Click here for information on parking areas:
The Main Auditorium and the Small Auditorium are equipped with an induction loop system. It helps people with hearing aids because the system transmits sounds direct to the hearing aid.
There are toilets on the basement level and the ground floor. Tampere Hall has also disabled toilets big enough for wheelchairs.
If you are travelling as a group, please contact our staff before your visit. You can contact us by telephone on +358 (0)3 243 111. Our blue-jacketed service staff will be happy to help groups with special needs.
